Japan emerged victorious over Tunisia at Monterrey Stadium in World Cup. The game concluded with a 4-0 scoreline, after 2-0 in the first half.
Japan were quickest out of the blocks, and went 1-0 up when Daichi Kamada netted in the fourth minute on a pass from Keito Nakamura.
Japan increased the lead to 0-2 after more than half an hour’s play as Ayase Ueda found the net played in by Ko Itakura.
In the 69th minute Junya Ito increased the lead for Japan with an assist by Ayase Ueda.
Japan scored once more, this time through Ayase Ueda with an assist by Kaishu Sano in the 83rd minute.
Tunisia play Netherlands on 26 June. Japan’s next opponent is Sweden on 26 June.
