Yamal’s Record-Breaking Goal Sends Spain to the Finals

The three-time Euro champions, Spain, is just a step closer to winning the championship again. Their outstanding performance gave them the chance to secure a spot in the championship match after they defeated France with a score of 2-1.

Although France took the lead thanks to a free header from Ronaldo Kolo Muani in the 9th minute. Spain made sure that this was their last goal in this season’s tournament. They responded with two consecutive goals to give them the upper hand in the game. Spain’s youngest player Lamine Yamal (16 years old) scored a spectacular long-range goal in the top left corner that equalized the game in the 21st minute. But Yamal’s goal not only gave his team a point but also made him the youngest player to ever score in the European Championship.

Spain took advantage of the momentum shift and they finally completed their comeback quite soon. Dani Olmo made another goal in the 25th minute that gave them the first lead of the night. Despite France’s effort to score another goal, they had a hard time doing so.

Spain is the first team of all time to win six consecutive games at the European Championship. They now await for the winner of the England-Netherlands match to play against them in the final match. Lamine Yamal, scorer of the fastest goal in Euro history, will surely play a vital role for Spain as they seek to win their third crown on this continent.
