Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Struggles Persist as Brentford Clash Ends in Loss

Brentford took the lead again, when Bryan Mbeumo scored a penalty, in the 20th minute.

Wolverhampton Wanderers failed to win away against Brentford. The game finished 5-3 and that was Wolverhampton Wanderers seventh consecutive game without a win in the Premier League.

The deciding goal came in stoppage time, when Fabio Carvalho scored for Brentford.

‘There was no structure, complete loss of control as to what the team were meant to do and where the team were meant to be. The worst performance I’ve seen from the group since I’ve been here,’ Wolves manager Gary O’Neil said after the game.

The result leaves Brentford in ninth place, while Wolverhampton Wanderers are in 20th and last place.
