About National Basketball Association (NBA)
The National Basketball Association (NBA) is the world's leading professional basketball league. It consists of 29 teams from the United States and 1 from Canada, split into two conferences: Eastern and Western. Each conference includes three divisions.

Regular Season
The NBA season runs from October to April, and each of the 30 teams plays 82 regular-season games. These games include home and away games against every other side in the league. Teams compete for the most wins during the regular season, with the final standings determining playoff seeding.
NBA Cup
The NBA Cup (formerly known as the In-Season Tournament) is a new event for the 2023–24 season. It's a multi-stage tournament that happens throughout the regular season. All 30 teams participate, divided into six groups within their respective conferences.
They play four regular-season games against each team in their group. The top teams from each group advance to a single-elimination knockout round, culminating in a championship game played in Las Vegas. Notably, most games in the knockout round also count towards the regular-season standings.
The NBA All-Star
The NBA All-Star Game is an annual exhibition event that features the league's top 24 players. Fans, media, and head coaches from each conference vote to choose players. Traditionally, teams were chosen from the Eastern and Western Conferences, but since 2022, captains (the top vote-getters from each conference) have drafted their teams regardless of affiliation. This famous game is the highlight of NBA All-Star Weekend, a three-day extravaganza with a variety of activities and events.
Play-In Tournament
The top six teams from each Eastern and Western Conference automatically qualify for the playoffs. The play-in tournament, on the other hand, intensifies the competition for the remaining two spots. This tournament involves teams ranked 7th to 10th in their respective conferences. They compete for the coveted 7th and 8th seed positions, granting them entry into the main playoff bracket.
The Playoffs
The NBA playoffs began in April and concluded in June. Sixteen teams (eight from each conference) advance based on their winning-loss record. The playoffs are best-of-seven, and the teams are seeded within their conferences, with the higher seeds receiving home-court advantage.
The remaining teams compete in four rounds: the quarterfinals, the semifinals, the conference finals, and the NBA Finals. The winners of each conference compete in the NBA Finals (East vs. West), a grueling seven-game series to determine the NBA champion.
