An even game saw Sevilla just edge out Real Valladolid at home in the La Liga on Tuesday. The game finished 2-1 to Sevilla.
In the 45th minute, Sevilla made it 1-0 through an own-goal.
With 56 minutes on the clock, Real Valladolid’s Kike Pérez found the net following a Mario Martin assist to equalise.
With five minutes left to play, Sevilla’s Chidera Ejuke scored the decider.
Sevilla’s Marcão was sent off in the 90th minute.
The result means Sevilla are now in 12th place in the table and that Real Valladolid are in 18th place.
Sevilla play Athletic Club on 29 September, Real Betis on 6 October and FC Barcelona (away) on 20 October. Real Valladolid’s next opponents are Mallorca on 27 September, Rayo Vallecano on 5 October and Deportivo Alavés (away) on 18 October.
