Last Updated on March 27, 2024

Euro Qualifier: Georgia v Luxembourg

In the Euro qualifiers’ semi-final, Georgia and Luxembourg, two nations that have never reached the senior tournament, will face off. Georgia has a home record of having only lost once in their last 11 games and qualified through the Nations League. Luxembourg are just two wins away from competing in their first-ever major tournament, having finished third in their qualifying group. They have won five of their past nine games away from home, demonstrating their remarkable recent road performance. There will be fierce competition throughout the game as both sides have a great chance of making it to the EUROs for the first time.

Euro Qualifier: Bosnia Herzegovina v Ukraine

Bosnia-Herzegovina and Ukraine meet in a pivotal Nations League match on Thursday, with both teams seeking a crucial victory. Bosnia-Herzegovina, despite their disappointing Euro 2024 qualifying campaign, can still reach the Euros through the Nations League. Ukraine, who narrowly missed out on automatic qualification themselves, aims to secure their fourth consecutive European Championship appearance. Ukraine boasts a strong recent record and a high FIFA ranking, but their playoff history is a concern, as they have failed to progress deep into the competition in most of their previous attempts.

Euro Qualifier: Greece v Kazakhstan

This coming Thursday night, Greece and Kazakhstan will face off for a spot in the Euro 2024 championship. Greece has not participated in the European Championship since 2012, but the 2004 champions have lately shown impressive achievements, finishing third in their qualification group and winning a home match against France. Kazakhstan had a great campaign as well, placing fourth in their group to earn a spot in the playoffs. They’ve won over Finland on the road in seven of their last 10 encounters. The game promises fierce competition between two teams that have a lot on the line in hopes of winning the championship.

Euro Qualifier: Israel v Iceland

In Hungary, a pivotal Euro 2024 playoff semifinal between Israel and Iceland is scheduled to take place. For both teams, winning this game will be essential to getting to the European Championship finals in Germany. Israel will play this “home” game in Hungary at a neutral location due to the continuing conflict. They won their League B group and advanced to the playoffs, whereas Iceland barely made it through a difficult group stage in which they only won three games. Iceland may receive some support from Hungary even though they are technically abroad.

Euro Qualifier: Poland v Estonia

Poland is getting ready to play host to Estonia in their European Championship Qualifiers playoff matchup’s first leg. Poland, who have qualified for the last four EUROs as well as the last two World Cups, will be favourites and quietly disappointed at having finished below Albania and Czech Republic in qualifying, whilst Estonia finished bottom of their qualifying group and have never made the EUROs proper. Despite placing third in their qualification group, Poland has an outstanding home winning record of 20 games. Estonia, on the other hand, barely made it through their group stage with a single point, finishing last behind stronger teams. For both teams, this game marks a significant turning point in their road to the Euros.

Euro Qualifier: Wales v Finland

In the semi-final of the Euro 2024 Championship Playoffs, Wales will play Finland; the winner may host a second home game in the championship match. Wales finished third in qualifying behind Croatia and Turkey in a tough group, but will have home comforts where they have a very strong record. Finland, who made their first major tournament ever in the last EUROs,  comes into the game having already won twice, notably against Northern Ireland. Even though they were unable to qualify automatically, coming in third in their group was a respectable result. Wales is the favorite for this playoff match despite Finland’s victories on the road thanks to their home field advantage and all-around superior team.
