Argentina earned a 3-2 victory in the World Cup playoff against Egypt.
Egypt started the match best and took the lead early when Yasser Ibrahim netted. In the 15th minute off a pass from Marwan Ateya making it 1-0.
In the 67th minute Mostafa Mohamed Zaki Abdelraouf increased the lead for Egypt with an assist by Haissem Hassan. Converted.
Cristian Romero reduced the score for Argentina with an assist by Lionel Messi in the 79th minute.
With only seven minutes left to play Argentina’s Lionel Messi equalised supplied by Gonzalo Montiel.
Argentina took the lead just seven minutes later on the back of a goal from Enzo Fernández scored. Set up by Lautaro Martínez to complete Argentina’s come back.
