Brentford and Leeds United collided in a Premier League fixture that lived up to the hype, producing a 1-1 draw.

The first half finished 0-0 and it took until the 70th minute before Jordan Henderson netted to give Brentford the lead.

Eight minutes left to play, Leeds United’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin equalised, with an assist by Wilfried Gnonto.

For the home team, the results mean 14th place in the table. Leeds United are in 17th place.

“I’m feeling good, the performances are speaking for themselves at the moment. Feeling good, feeling healthy, this is the fittest I’ve been in a long time. I’ve worked extremely hard to get in this position,” Leeds striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin told Sky Sports after the draw.

Brentford play Wolverhampton Wanderers on 20 December, AFC Bournemouth on 27 December and Tottenham Hotspur (home) on 1 January. Leeds United’s next opponents are Crystal Palace on 20 December, Sunderland on 28 December and Liverpool (away) on 1 January.
