At away, Villarreal secured a victory over Elche in Saturday’s La Liga fixture. Holding a 2-1 lead at half time, Villarreal showcased their prowess, adding to their advantage in the second half to claim a 3-1 win.

Villarreal scored the first goal when Alberto Moleiro netted after 7 minutes, with an assist by Georges Mikautadze, making it 1-0.

In the 13th minute Georges Mikautadze increased the lead for Villarreal with an assist by Nicolas Pépé.

Elche’s Martim Neto made it 2-1 in the 30th minute as he found the net, with an assist by Aleix Febas.

With seven minutes left to play, Villarreal’s Alfonso Pedraza increased the lead, with an assist by Sergi Cardona.

Villarreal have now racked up four straight away wins.

The result leaves Villarreal in third place, while Elche are in ninth place.
