In a Bundesliga Sunday faceoff, VfL Wolfsburg dominated on the road, securing a decisive 3-1 victory over Heidenheim.

VfL Wolfsburg stunned Heidenheim when Yannick Gerhardt netted in the third minute, with an assist from Mohamed El Amine Amoura.

In the 42nd minute Bence Dárdai increased the lead for VfL Wolfsburg.

Heidenheim’s Marvin Pieringer also reduced the score for Heidenheim in the 64th minute.

The 3-1 goal came in stoppage time, when Tiago Tomás found the net for VfL Wolfsburg, with an assist by Kevin Behrens.

The result means the fifth game in a row without a win for Heidenheim.

For Heidenheim, this means 14th place in the table, while VfL Wolfsburg are 12th in the league.
