Rayo Vallecano took a 1-0 lead into half-time against Valencia in their La Liga home clash, thanks to Nobel Mendy’s goal. Yet, Valencia fought back in the second half, with Diego López finding the equalizer. The game ended in a 1-1 draw.

In the 37th minute, Nobel Mendy scored, with an assist by Gerard Gumbau, to give Rayo Vallecano a 1-0 lead in what had been a goalless match.
The result means the fourth game in a row without a win for Rayo Vallecano.
For the home team, the results mean ninth place in the table. Valencia are in 15th place.
