West Ham United Held Scoreless as Tottenham Hotspur Secures Victory

In a remarkable display of dominance, Tottenham Hotspur found the back of the net three times, while West Ham United failed to score a single goal. The away team secured a resounding victory at London Stadium against West Ham United in the Premier League, with the match culminating in a decisive 3-0 scoreline.

The first half was goalless, but straight after half-time, Pape Matar Sarr made his mark as he netted, with an assist by Xavi Simons, to give Tottenham Hotspur the lead.

West Ham United’s Tomáš Souček was sent off in the 54th minute.

For the home team, the results mean 18th place in the table. Tottenham Hotspur are second in the league.

With 57 minutes on the clock, Tottenham Hotspur’s Lucas Bergvall found the net following a Cristian Romero  assist to double their lead.

Tottenham Hotspur further increased the lead as Micky van de Ven found the net, with an assist by Lucas Bergvall, in the 64th minute.

“In the end, the scoreline is a difficult one for us. The second half went away from us quickly; I thought the first half was good. We showed our attacking intent,” West Ham’s manager, Graham Potter, said.

“There were positives in the first half but we made a mistake in the second half; the second half was really uncomfortable. We have had to suffer. The team is coming together and we have to be patient with them. Focus on the positives and move forward,” he added.

West Ham United play Crystal Palace on 20 September, Everton on 29 September and Arsenal (away) on 4 October. Tottenham Hotspur’s next opponents are Brighton & Hove Albion on 20 September, Wolverhampton Wanderers on 27 September and Leeds United (away) on 4 October.
