Juventus dominated again, taking a 2-0 victory at Allianz Stadium over Milan in Serie A. After the scoreless first half, the hosts opened the scoring in the 59th minute as Samuel Mbangula converted from a pass by Nicolás González. Just five minutes later, Timothy Weah made it 2-0 for the home team after being played in by Khéphren Thuram.
This was Juventus’ 21st match without defeat in a row and they remain unbeaten this season. As a result, they have climbed to fourth place in the league, with Milan now down in eighth.
Conceicao, manager of Milan, said after the match: “The first half was pretty even, and we had more chances to score. But in the second half, Juventus were hungrier and wanted it more. We could’ve conceded even more than two goals.”
Juventus’s further match up is on January 25 with Napoli and then later on February 2 against Empoli, and on February 9 against Como away. Milan will face Parma on January 26, Inter on February 2, and Empoli away on February 9.
