A stellar showing by Sunderland saw them score three goals and shut out West Ham United in the Premier League clash at Stadium of Light. The home team secured a dominant 3-0 win to claim victory.

Sunderland are now in second place in the table, while West Ham United are in 19th place.

The first half finished 0-0 and it took until the 61st minute before Eliezer Mayenda netted, with an assist by Omar Alderete, to give Sunderland the lead.

Sunderland found the net once more, this time through Wilson Isidor, with an assist by Chemsdine Talbi, in the 90th minute.

Daniel Ballard  increased the lead in the 73rd minute with an assist by Simon Adingra.

Sunderland’s next Premier League games are against Burnley (away) on 23 August, Sunderland (home) on 30 August and Crystal Palace (away) on 13 September. West Ham United play Chelsea (home) on 22 August, Nottingham Forest (away) on 31 August and Tottenham Hotspur (home) on 13 September.
