The only goal of the game came in the second half through Espino García in Rayo Vallecano’s victory in the La Liga, as they beat Real Sociedad 1-0 away.
It took a while to open the scoring. Rayo Vallecano took a 1–0 lead first with 6 minutes left to play through Alfonso Espino netted, with an assist by Andrei Rațiu.
Rayo Vallecano are now in 14th place, while Real Sociedad are in 19th place.
It was the first victory for Vallecano after six games in a row without a win.
