Nottingham Forest’s run of six straight wins in the Premier League ended at home to Liverpool. Tuesday’s game at The City Ground finished 1-1.

Nottingham Forest started the match well and took the lead when Chris Wood netted in the 8th minute, with an assist by A. Elanga, making it 1-0.

In the 66th minute, Diogo Jota equalised for Liverpool, with an assist by Konstantinos Tsimikas.

The result leaves Nottingham Forest in second place, while Liverpool are still leading.

“I couldn’t have asked for more today. I think that most people talk about the second half;” Arne Slot said after seeing two substitutes contribute to Liverpool’s leveller in their first involvement.

“They were really positive about the second half. If you ask me, I’m more positive about the second half than the first half [too],” he added.

Nottingham Forest play Southampton on 19 January, AFC Bournemouth on 25 January and Brighton & Hove Albion (home) on 1 February. Liverpool’s next opponents are Brentford on 18 January, Ipswich Town on 25 January and AFC Bournemouth (away) on 1 February.
