The home side Chelsea won a tightgame against Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge. The team won 2-1 in the Premier League on Sunday.
Straight after the break, C. Palmer made his mark and gave Chelsea the lead again.
The game was the fifth in a row without a win for Newcastle United.
“The majority I liked. It was a strong performance. Coming here, you know it’s going to be a very difficult game, especially when you concede relatively early in the match,” Eddie Howe said after the 2-1 loss to Chelsea.
Chelsea started the match best and took the lead early when Nicolas Jackson netted in the 18th minute, with an assist by Pedro Neto, making it 1-0.
Chelsea are in fifth place after the game, while Newcastle United are in 12th.
“Our response was really strong. We scored a great goal ourselves, and we weren’t perfect in our performance,” he added.

Newcastle United equalised to make it 1-1, when Alexander Isak found the net, with an assist by Lewis Hall, in the 32nd minute.
