Napoli claimed a fine win away to fourth placed Roma in the Serie A on Sunday. The match finished 1-0 and was a very important win in the race at the top.
In the 36th minute, David Neres scored, with an assist by Rasmus Højlund, to give Napoli a 1-0 lead in what had been a goalless match.
For the home team, the results mean fourth place in the table. Napoli are second in the league.
“Coming to the Stadio Olimpico and playing with the kind of authority we did, pushing forward constantly, that is not easy,” Conte said.
“Roma were coming off a run of positive results, they were ahead of us in the table, and are a very good team. I am pleased, as I saw a performance of character from the lads, we looked them in the eye from the start,” he added.
Roma play Cagliari on 7 December, Como on 15 December and Juventus (away) on 20 December. Napoli’s next opponents are Juventus on 7 December, Udinese on 14 December and Cremonese (away) on 28 December.
