Wednesday’s Champions League fixture saw Liverpool triumph over Eintracht Frankfurt in a captivating away encounter. With an initial lead of 3-1, Liverpool extended their advantage to secure a 5-1 victory.

Eintracht Frankfurt scored the first goal when Rasmus Kristensen netted after 26 minutes, with an assist by Mario Götze, making it 1-0.

Liverpool equalised to make it 1-1, when Hugo Ekitiké found the net, with an assist by Andrew Robertson , in the 35th minute.

Liverpool took the lead, as Virgil van Dijk  scored, with an assist by C. Gakpo, just four minutes later later.

Liverpool increased the lead to 3-1 just five minutes later when Ibrahima Konaté scored, with an assist by Dominik Szoboszlai.

In the 66th minute, C. Gakpo increased the lead for Liverpool, with an assist by Florian Wirtz.

Dominik Szoboszlai also increased the lead for Liverpool just four minutes later later, with an assist by Florian Wirtz.

Eintracht Frankfurt’s next Champions League games are against Atalanta (home) on 26 November, FC Barcelona (away) on 9 December and Qarabağ (away) on 21 January. Liverpool play Real Madrid (home) on 4 November, PSV (home) on 26 November and Inter (away) on 9 December.
