A football drama unfolded at Elche as they entertained Real Madrid in the La Liga, the clash concluding in a 2-2 draw.
The first half was goalless, but straight after half-time, Aleix Febas made his mark as he netted, with an assist by Germán Valera, to give Elche the lead.
Dean Huijsen equalised for Real Madrid with an assist by Jude Bellingham , in the 78th minute.
Elche’s Víctor Chust was sent off in the 90th minute.
With only six minutes left to play, Elche’s Álvaro Rodríguez took the lead, with an assist by Martim Neto.
The result means Elche are now in 11th place in the table and that Real Madrid are first in the league.
Real Madrid equalised to make it 2-2 just three minutes later when Jude Bellingham found the net, with an assist by Kylian Mbappé.
The result means that Real Madrid have taken points in six straight games.
Elche’s next La Liga games are against Getafe (away) on 28 November, Elche (home) on 7 December and Mallorca (away) on 13 December. Real Madrid play Girona (away) on 30 November, Athletic Club (away) on 3 December and Celta de Vigo (home) on 7 December.
