Inter emerged triumphant over Union Saint-Gilloise in Tuesday’s Champions League clash at their away ground. Despite an early lead of 2-0, Inter demonstrated strength and composure, extending their lead to secure a 4-0 victory.
Inter took the lead just before half time as Denzel Dumfries netted, with an assist by Yann Bisseck.
Just four minutes later later Lautaro Martínez increased the lead for Inter with an assist by Pio Esposito.
Straight after the break, Hakan Çalhanoğlu scored and increased the team’s lead.
Inter further increased the lead as Pio Esposito found the net, with an assist by Ange-Yoan Bonny, in the 76th minute.
Union Saint-Gilloise’s next Champions League games are against Atlético Madrid (away) on 4 November, Galatasaray (away) on 25 November and Olympique Marseille (home) on 9 December. Inter play Kairat (home) on 5 November, Atlético Madrid (away) on 26 November and Liverpool (home) on 9 December.
