With 59 minutes on the clock, Hellas Verona’s Gift Orban found the net following a Giovane assist to double their lead.

The equaliser came in extra time, when Mattia Felici found the net for Cagliari, with an assist by Leonardo Pavoletti.

Riyad Idrissi reduced the score for Cagliari with an assist by Adam Obert, in the 77th minute.

Hellas Verona have yet to win in the Serie A this season and Sunday’s home match to Cagliari did not change things. The match finished 2-2 at Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi and was Hellas Verona’s eighth game in a row without a win.

Hellas Verona scored the first goal when Roberto Gagliardini netted after 23 minutes, with an assist by Giovane, making it 1-0.

The result means Hellas Verona are now in 17th place in the table and that Cagliari are in 14th place.

Hellas Verona play Como on 29 October, Inter on 2 November and Lecce (away) on 8 November. Cagliari’s next opponents are Sassuolo on 30 October, Lazio on 2 November and Como (away) on 8 November.
