Real Sociedad Defeat Sees FC Barcelona Rise to League Summit

In the 29th minute Marc Casadó increased the lead for FC Barcelona with an assist by Dani Olmo.

Ronald Araújo also increased the lead for FC Barcelona in the 56th minute.

FC Barcelona further increased the lead as Robert Lewandowski found the net, with an assist by Ronald Araújo, in the 60th minute.

“Even if they were with ten, it is important not to concede chances. We have spoken about that during the week after the game against Atletico. Perhaps with a little more discipline, we could have scored a few more goals, but it was not to be,” he added.

With this win, FC Barcelona have six straight victories.

The next La Liga games for FC Barcelona are Osasuna (home) on 8 March, Atlético Madrid (away) on 16 March and Girona (home) on 30 March. Real Sociedad play Sevilla (home) on 9 March, Rayo Vallecano (away) on 16 March and Real Valladolid (home) on 30 March.
