Double Trouble: Williams Arthuer’s Goals Secure Athletic Club’s Win Over Espanyol

The result means Athletic Club are now in fifth place in the table and that Espanyol are in 15th place.

In Saturday’s La Liga showdown, Athletic Club emerged triumphant with a 4-1 victory over Espanyol on home turf.

Athletic Club started the match best and took the lead when Dani Vivian netted after 6 minutes, with an assist by Nico Williams, making it 1-0.

In the 28th minute Iñaki Williams increased the lead for Athletic Club with an assist by Álex Berenguer.

In the 55th minute, Álex Berenguer increased the lead for Athletic Club, with an assist by Óscar de Marcos.

The goal that reduced the score to 4-1 came in extra time, when Álvaro Tejero scored for Espanyol.

Athletic Club play Mallorca on 28 October, Real Betis on 3 November and Real Valladolid (away) on 10 November. Espanyol’s next opponents are Sevilla on 25 October, FC Barcelona on 3 November and Valencia (home) on 9 November.
