Como’s Brilliance Overshadows Udinese

Monday’s Serie A encounter showcased a strong Como team on Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia, as they clinched a resounding victory over Udinese, securing a valuable three points. The decisive 4-1 scoreline reflected the home side’s prowess and determination.

Como stunned Udinese when Assane Diao netted in the fifth minute on a pass from Gabriel Strefezza.

The result means the fourth game in a row without a win for Udinese.

In the 44th minute Gabriel Strefezza increased the lead for Como with an assist by Alberto Dossena.

3-1 came through an own-goal in the 78th minute.

Straight after the break, Martín Payero scored and reduced the score for Udinese.

Como’s Edoardo Goldaniga was sent off in the 57th minute.

Udinese’s Oumar Solet was sent off in the 63rd minute.

Como play Atalanta on 25 January, Bologna on 1 February and Juventus (home) on 9 February. Udinese’s next opponents are Roma on 26 January, Venezia on 1 February and Napoli (away) on 9 February.

The 4-1 goal came in stoppage time, when Nico Paz found the net for Como, with an assist by Yannik Engelhardt.

It leaves Como in 13th place and that Udinese are in 10th place.
