Chelsea emerged victorious with a 5-1 win away against West Ham United at London Stadium, catapulting them to the summit of the Premier League standings after two games played. They hold a slim one-point advantage over Manchester City, while West Ham United currently sits in 20th place.
West Ham United scored the first goal when Lucas Paquetá netted in the 6th minute, with an assist by El Hadji Malick Diouf, making it 1-0.
Chelsea equalised to 1-1 early in the match when João Pedro made his mark as he found the net, with an assist by Marc Cucurella, in the 15th minute.
Chelsea took the lead, as Pedro Neto scored, with an assist by João Pedro, in the 23rd minute.
In the 34th minute Enzo Fernández increased the lead for Chelsea with an assist by Estêvão.
Moisés Caicedo also increased the lead for Chelsea in the 54th minute.
With 58 minutes on the clock, Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah found the net following a João Pedro assist to increase their lead.
