Brighton & Hove Albion won with a goal to spare the game against Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday. The team won 2-1 at The American Express Community Stadium.
Brighton & Hove Albion took the lead just before half time when Danny Welbeck netted, with an assist by Georginio Rutter.
Nick Woltemade equalised for Newcastle United with an assist by Lewis Miley, in the 76th minute.
With six minutes left to play, Brighton & Hove Albion’s Danny Welbeck scored the decider.
For Brighton & Hove Albion, this means 10th place in the table, while Newcastle United are in 13th place.
“I never thought we would lose it, so I have the biggest belief in my team. We showed resilience, character and personality,” Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler said after the game.
“We kept the structure quite well and I’m really pleased. The key thing was a good structure and being patient, so don’t force it. Have different patterns in the final third. I thought we had a good variation, a good flexibility. I was pleased. Overall, in possession, it was really good,” he added.
