The next Serie A games for Bologna are Lazio (away) on 7 December, Bologna (home) on 14 December and Sassuolo (home) on 28 December. Cremonese play Lecce (home) on 7 December, Torino (away) on 13 December and Lazio (away) on 20 December.
The result leaves Cremonese in 10th place, while Bologna are in fifth place.
It had been a long time since Bologna finished a Serie A game on the losing side. But Monday’s home game to Cremonese saw the end of their unbeaten run of nine games as the match finished 3-1.
It was Martín Payero who opened the scoring for Cremonese in the 31st minute of the goalless match, with an assist by Matteo Bianchetti.
Just four minutes later later Jamie Vardy increased the lead for Cremonese with an assist by Federico Bonazzoli.
Bologna’s Riccardo Orsolini made it 2-1 in the 45th minute as he made his mark with a penalty.
