After a challenging stretch, AZ got back on track. Their Sunday encounter at AFAS Stadion in the Eredivisie against FC Utrecht resulted in another impressive victory, marking their third consecutive win. AZ secured a 4-1 triumph.
AZ scored the first goal when Troy Parrott netted after 6 minutes, with an assist by Weslley Patati, making it 1-0.
In the 34th minute Troy Parrott increased the lead for AZ with an assist by Denso Kasius.
Straight after the break, Sven Mijnans made his mark and increased the team’s lead.
FC Utrecht’s Gjivai Zechiël also reduced the score for FC Utrecht in the 69th minute, with an assist by Souffian El Karouani.
The 4-1 goal came right at the end of the game, when Mees de Wit found the net for AZ, with an assist by Sven Mijnans.
It leaves AZ in third place and FC Utrecht in ninth.
AZ’s next Eredivisie games are against Sparta Rotterdam (away) on 2 November, AZ (home) on 9 November and SC Heerenveen (away) on 23 November. FC Utrecht play NEC Nijmegen (home) on 2 November, Ajax (home) on 9 November and Telstar (away) on 22 November.
