Atlético Madrid lagged behind in home match against Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the Champions League. However, the team reversed the course to win with 2-1.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen’s Piero Hincapié was sent off in the 76th minute.
Bayer 04 Leverkusen took the lead in added-time in the first half when Piero Hincapié netted, with an assist by Nordi Mukiele.
The deciding goal came in stoppage time, when Julián Álvarez found the net for Atlético Madrid, with an assist by Ángel Correa, to complete Atlético Madrid’s come back.
With one game remaining, Atlético Madrid are in third place in the table while Bayer 04 Leverkusen are in sixth.
The next Champions League game for Atlético Madrid is Salzburg (away) on 29 January. Bayer 04 Leverkusen play Sparta Praha (home) on 29 January.
