A stellar showing by Atlético Madrid saw them score three goals and shut out Girona in the La Liga clash at Estadi Municipal de Montilivi. The away team secured a dominant 3-0 win to claim victory.
Atlético Madrid started the match best and took the lead early when Koke netted after 13 minutes, making it 1-0.
In the 38th minute Conor Gallagher increased the lead for Atlético Madrid with an assist by Julián Alvarez.
Atlético Madrid further increased the lead as Antoine Griezmann found the net, with an assist by Giacomo Raspadori, in the 90th minute.
The result leaves Atlético Madrid in third place, while Girona are in 18th place.
