Last Updated on January 20, 2025

Arsenal and Aston Villa shared the spoils in an intense Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium, ending in a 2-2 draw. The Gunners took the lead early in the game, but were not able to stand in the way of Villa’s determined comeback.
It was Leandro Trossard who had laid an excellent pass to Gabriel Martinelli for Arsenal’s opener in the 35th minute. Arsenal further doubled their lead through Kai Havertz in the 55th minute with an assist from Trossard again.
But Aston Villa responded quickly.
In the 60th minute, Youri Tielemans scored with a strike assisted by Lucas Digne, cutting Arsenal’s lead in half. Eight minutes later, Ollie Watkins capitalized on a Matty Cash assist to bring Villa level at 2-2. The result sends Arsenal into their 12th consecutive match unbeaten but keeps them still two points behind Premier League leaders.
Then Arsenal travels away to Wolverhampton Wanderers on 25 January, back home to Arsenal on 2 February, and away to Leicester City on 15 February. Aston Villa goes to West Ham United at home on 26 January and away to Wolverham on February 1 and back again at home on February 15.
