Arsenal showcased their attacking prowess as they netted three goals in the Premier League encounter against Nottingham Forest at Emirates Stadium. The home side cruised to a convincing 3-0 victory, leaving Nottingham Forest unable to find the back of the net.

The game was scoreless until Martín Zubimendi found the net for Arsenal in the 32nd minute.

Straight after the break, Viktor Gyökeres scored and increased the team’s lead.

Arsenal further increased the lead as Martín Zubimendi netted, with an assist by Leandro Trossard, in the 79th minute.

“It’s a disappointing result; whenever you lose a game of football, it’s disappointing. Fair play to them, they’re a very good side, especially here at home. If everything’s going well it’s still a difficult task to come here,” managerial debutant Ange Postecoglou said.

For the home team, the results mean first place in the table. Nottingham Forest are in 14th place.

Arsenal’s next Premier League games are against Manchester City (home) on 21 September, Newcastle United (away) on 28 September and West Ham United (home) on 4 October. Nottingham Forest play Burnley (away) on 20 September, Sunderland (home) on 27 September and Newcastle United (away) on 5 October.
