Canada secured a victory at Vancouver Stadium against Qatar in the World Cup. The match ended with a final score of 6-0, following a 3-0 first half score.
Canada started the match best and took the lead early when Cyle Larin after 16 minutes making it 1-0.
Canada increased the lead to 2-0 after almost half an hour’s play as Jonathan David.
Qatar’s Homam Al-Amin was sent off in the 33rd minute.
Canada increased the lead to 3-0 just before the half-time whistle as Jonathan David scored yet again.
Qatar’s Assim Madibo was sent off in the 53rd minute.
5-0 came through an own-goal in the 75th minute.
Jonathan David completed his hat trick in the 29th minute, putting an exclamation point on a dazzling performance.
Canada play Switzerland on 24 June. Qatar’s next opponent is Bosnia and Herzegovina on 24 June.
In the 64th minute Nathan-Dylan Saliba increased the lead for Canada.
