With a spirited performance, Nottingham Forest has emerged victorious in the Premier League, defeating Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 to end their seven-game drought and get back on track.

Nottingham Forest took the lead in added-time in the first half when Igor Jesus netted, with an assist by Neco Williams.

With 62 minutes on the clock, Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White found the net following a Callum Hudson-Odoi assist to double their lead.

Nottingham Forest further increased the lead as Taiwo Awoniyi  found the net, with an assist by Neco Williams, in the 87th minute.

The result means the 13th game in a row without a win for Tottenham Hotspur.

For Tottenham Hotspur, this means 17th place in the table, while Nottingham Forest are in 16th place.

“It is not just about this game, it’s about the next seven games. We need to have this personality, playing with our arguments, with the ball because we have quality. Good for the momentum, good for the belief because we need to believe in ourselves,” Nottingham manager Vitor Pereira said while speaking to Sky Sports.

Tottenham Hotspur’s next Premier League games are against Sunderland (away) on 12 April, Tottenham Hotspur (home) on 18 April and Wolverhampton Wanderers (away) on 25 April. Nottingham Forest play Aston Villa (home) on 12 April, Burnley (home) on 19 April and Sunderland (away) on 24 April.
