Sunday frustration for Werder Bremen as St. Pauli clinches a 2-1 victory at Millerntor-Stadion. The Bundesliga battle unfolded with Werder Bremen conceding two goals, resulting in a disappointing defeat for the away side.
The first half finished 0-0 and it took until the 55th minute before Hauke Wahl netted, with an assist by Danel Sinani, to give St. Pauli the lead.
The result means St. Pauli are now in 16th place in the table and that Werder Bremen are in 17th place.
In the 62nd minute, Jovan Milosevic equalised for Werder Bremen.
St. Pauli’s Joel Chima Fujita also gave St. Pauli the lead in the 70th minute, with an assist by Manolis Saliakas.
St. Pauli’s next Bundesliga games are against TSG Hoffenheim (away) on 28 February, St. Pauli (home) on 8 March and Borussia Mönchengladbach (away) on 13 March. Werder Bremen play Heidenheim (home) on 28 February, FC Union Berlin (away) on 8 March and FSV Mainz 05 (home) on 15 March.
The result means the 13th game in a row without a win for Werder Bremen.
