PEC Zwolle beat Sparta Rotterdam 1-0 at home in the Eredivisie. The only goal of the game came in the first half through De Rooij.
It was 0-0 until PEC Zwolle took the lead just after the half-hour mark through Kaj de Rooij, who netted, with an assist by Jamiro Monteiro, making it 1-0.
It was the first victory for Zwolle after nine games in a row without a win.
PEC Zwolle are now in 15th place in the table, while Sparta Rotterdam are ninth in the league.
