Arsenal Claims Three Points Against Atlético Madrid with Gyökeres’ Double

Arsenal asserted their dominance with a 4-0 victory over Atlético Madrid in Tuesday’s Champions League action at home.

The first half finished 0-0 and it took until the 57th minute before Gabriel Magalhães netted, with an assist by Declan Rice, to give Arsenal the lead.

With 64 minutes on the clock, Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli found the net following a Myles Lewis-Skelly assist to double their lead.

Arsenal increased the lead again, making it 3-0, just three minutes later when Viktor Gyökeres found the net, with an assist by Eberechi Eze.

Arsenal further increased the lead as Viktor Gyökeres scored, with an assist by Gabriel Magalhães, just three minutes later later.

The result means Arsenal have kept a clean sheet in three consecutive games.

Arsenal’s next Champions League games are against Slavia Praha (away) on 4 November, Arsenal (home) on 26 November and Club Brugge (away) on 10 December. Atlético Madrid play Union Saint-Gilloise (home) on 4 November, Inter (home) on 26 November and PSV (away) on 9 December.
