NEC Nijmegen equalised to make it 1-1 after almost half an hour’s play as Thomas Ouwejan netted, with an assist by Kodai Sano.
In the 55th minute, Mats Rots gave FC Twente the lead, with an assist by Sondre Ørjasæter.
NEC Nijmegen’s Youssef El Kachati also equalised for NEC Nijmegen in the 66th minute, with an assist by Thomas Ouwejan.
The equaliser came in extra time, when Ricky van Wolfswinkel found the net for FC Twente.
