One goal decided an even game as Liverpool won 3-2 at home to Atlético Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Just two minutes later later Mohamed Salah increased the lead for Liverpool with an assist by Ryan Gravenberch.
Liverpool stunned Atlético Madrid when Andrew Robertson netted in the fourth minute, with an assist from Mohamed Salah.
Atlético Madrid’s Marcos Llorente made it 2-1 in the 45th minute as he found the net, with an assist by Giacomo Raspadori.
With only nine minutes left to play, Atlético Madrid’s Marcos Llorente equalised.
The deciding goal came in stoppage time, when Virgil van Dijk scored for Liverpool, with an assist by Dominik Szoboszlai.
Liverpool’s next Champions League games are against Galatasaray (away) on 30 September, Eintracht Frankfurt (away) on 22 October and Real Madrid (home) on 4 November. Atlético Madrid play Eintracht Frankfurt (home) on 30 September, Arsenal (away) on 21 October and Union Saint-Gilloise (home) on 4 November.
