A football drama unfolded at Sevilla as they entertained Elche in the La Liga, the clash concluding in a 2-2 draw.
Isaac Romero scored in the 28th minute, with an assist by Rubén Vargas, to give Sevilla the lead in a previously goalless match.
In the 54th minute, André Silva equalised for Elche, with an assist by Martim Neto.
Rafa Mir also gave Elche the lead in the 70th minute.
Five minutes left to play, Sevilla’s Peque Fernández equalised, with an assist by Alexis Sánchez.
Sevilla’s next La Liga games are against Deportivo Alavés (away) on 20 September, Sevilla (home) on 23 September and Rayo Vallecano (away) on 28 September. Elche play Real Oviedo (home) on 21 September, Osasuna (away) on 25 September and Celta de Vigo (home) on 28 September.
For Sevilla, this means 13th place in the table, while Elche are eighth in the league.
