Chelsea’s resilience paid off in the Premier League as they secured a vital 3-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers, marking their first victory after a five-game drought.
Chelsea play Manchester City on 25 January, West Ham United on 3 February and Brighton & Hove Albion (away) on 14 February. Wolverhampton Wanderers’ next opponents are Arsenal on 25 January, Aston Villa on 1 February and Liverpool (away) on 16 February.
Chelsea scored the first goal when Tosin Adarabioyo netted after 24 minutes, making it 1-0.
Wolverhampton Wanderers equalised 1-1 just before the half-time whistle as M. Doherty found the net.
With 60 minutes on the clock, Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella found the net following a Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall assist to give Chelsea the lead.
In the 65th minute, Noni Madueke increased the lead for Chelsea, with an assist by Trevoh Chalobah.
The result means the fourth game in a row without a win for Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Chelsea are now in fourth place, while Wolverhampton Wanderers are in 17th place.
