Liverpool strengthen title grip with another win

Liverpool started the match best and took the lead when Darwin Núñez netted after 20 minutes, with an assist by Mohamed Salah, making it 1-0.

With six minutes left to play, Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah increased the lead.

The result saw Liverpool’s seventh game in a row without defeat.

Liverpool play Southampton on 24 November, Manchester City on 1 December and Newcastle United (away) on 4 December. Aston Villa’s next opponents are Crystal Palace on 23 November, Chelsea on 1 December and Brentford (home) on 4 December.

League leaders Liverpool continue to impress. With a 2-0 win at home against Aston Villa, Liverpool recorded yet another victory. This means the team has extended their lead in the Premier League and the gap to second placed Manchester City is now five points. Aston Villa are in eighth place in the league.
