Ipswich Town Ends 10-Game Winless Streak with 2-1 Victory Over Tottenham Hotspur

With a spirited performance, Ipswich Town has emerged victorious in the Premier League, defeating Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 to end their 10-game drought and get back on track.

The battle remained goalless until the 31st minute when S. Szmodics put Ipswich Town ahead, with an assist by Liam Delap.

In the 43rd minute Liam Delap increased the lead for Ipswich Town.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Rodrigo Bentancur also reduced the score for Tottenham Hotspur in the 69th minute, with an assist by Pedro Porro.

Ipswich Town have finally ticked in the winning column.

For the home team, the results mean 10th place in the table. Ipswich Town are in 17th place.

‘We didn’t start the game well at all. It was all sort of passive, without the ball, with the ball,’ Ange Postecoglou said after his side was booed off following the 2-1 loss to Ipswich Town.

‘It’s a massive, significant moment. A day to cherish in recent history,’ Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna said after the club’s maiden Premier League win after a 22-year absence.

Tottenham Hotspur play Manchester City on 23 November, Fulham on 1 December and AFC Bournemouth (away) on 5 December. Ipswich Town’s next opponents are Manchester United on 24 November, Nottingham Forest on 30 November and Crystal Palace (home) on 3 December.
