Fulham’s unbeaten run extended after 2-2 to Ipswich Town

Fulham enjoyed a great game in the Premier League and their eighth game in a row without defeat came at home to Ipswich Town. The game finished 2-2.

The game was scoreless until Samuel Szmodics found the net for Ipswich Town in the 38th minute.

In the 69th minute, Raúl Jiménez equalised for Fulham.

Liam Delap gave Ipswich Town the lead in the 71st minute.

The equaliser came in extra time, when Raúl Jiménez netted for Fulham.

The result means Fulham stay in ninth place and Ipswich Town are in 18th.

“When you lead twice, you always feel a little bit disappointed not to win. I’m so proud of the way we played. We had some chances to get a two-goal margin but weren’t able to take them,” Ipswich boss, Kieran McKenna said after the roller coaster draw.

“The referee reffed it well, and it wasn’t easy, to be honest, because the crowd were on pretty early from kick-off,” he added in a game marred by the referee’s decisions.

Fulham play West Ham United on 14 January, Leicester City on 18 January and Manchester United (home) on 26 January. Ipswich Town’s next opponents are Brighton & Hove Albion on 16 January, Manchester City on 19 January and Liverpool (away) on 25 January.
